Memphis communications company picnic

This October marks my fourth year with Memphis Communications and one of the things I have noticed is the saying “we are a family” is truly meant in this company. Each year, the company finds many different ways to celebrate this family and bring everyone together. This past Saturday, we had our annual Company Picnic and employees and family came from all 4 offices to join us in the celebration.

Memphis communications picnic 2016 kid's zone

In the Kid’s Zone, races were run and ribbons awarded. The kids enjoyed croquet and football as well as fun treats like cotton candy and snow cones. They even got balloon animals made to order.

Mcc company picnic 2016 food

For the big kids among us, there was food galore. Our resident grill master, Chad Arterburn spent all day Friday prepping and cooking and by Saturday, the food was perfect. Thank you to everyone who brought a dish and desert. The winner of the dessert contest was MCC Jackson’s very own Kim Hoppers with her delicious coconut cake and second place went to Kelsey Keidis, from the Memphis office, for her strawberry shortcake cake. Great job, ladies!

Mcc company picnic karaoke contest

After lunch, the karaoke contest started and the hidden talent at MCC was revealed. We have always known we have a talented group, but who knew they could sing too! Taking her second prize of the day, Kim Hoppers won second place with her beautiful rendition of <a href="http://” target=”_blank”>Desperado. Congratulations, Kim. Beautifully sung!

First place went to Chandler Day, the very talented son of our Memphis Document Solutions Service Manager, Chris Day. Chandler sang a Michael Buble song, “Feeling Good” that had the whole family feeling good by the end. We see a bright future for this one!

Memphis communications cornhole experience

While the kids were playing in the Kid’s Zone, the big kids had a few games going too. The MCC family can get a bit competitive when it comes to cornhole, but thankfully everything was civil this year. After multiple elimination rounds, it came down to 2 teams. Chris and Chandler Day took home second place even though Chandler had to play in between stage performances. And the top prize, first place winners were Tim Barlow, MCC Jackson General Sales Manager, and Doug Corbitt, Memphis Document Solutions Sales Consultant! Congratulations to everyone!
